Aberrant Chicago dispatches tales of the weird and wonderful from the most misunderstood metropolis in the country.  We are an independent online magazine that celebrates and explores the creative underbelly of a city most often in the news for violence and corruption. We understand that the most ground-breaking ideas and visionary art are found in the most unlikely places. Our stories take you deep into the most local of the local joints, havens, and audacious abodes to give you an inside look at the Midwest’s most under-appreciated residents: creatives and the strange (yet strong) communities they build.

About the Creators

Gabby Rosas and Anastasia Page  created Aberrant Chicago out of a pure passion for music, art and everything creative. Gabby is an independent journalist and blogger. Ana is a freelance photographer and visual artist. Both are based in Chicago but hail from sunny Southern California.
